The you tube video was way to fast and there aren't speakers on these computers. I think the video is a standard of how to do a research paper. I think chapter 8 in Literature for Composition was more speicifc in creating a research paper based on Literature

Well first you need to choice a idea. Next take time to go to the library or get on line and research it. Take alot of notes and write all your sources done.

How does this relate to what i found in the books? It helped me pay more attention to them more. Although the books were both pretty organized the video clip really made it less of a robotic experience for me and made it much simpler to take in then reading all of that stuff in the two books!

the video shows a round about type and way of how the paper should be researched and different sources of info. the chapter was more in depth with the literary approach to writing the research paper.

The video just kind of glazed over the steps and did not give as much insight as the reading. Other than being slightly dry the text, I think, was more helpful.

Overall, the video was helpful. Usually I don't plan things out for research papers and I usually do fine. I really think that the video covered only research in general instead of literary research.

Also... what was the point of that last comment in the video? That was completely irrelevant!

The video over all gave us just a quick reminder of what the basic things to do for a research paper. The book I think give us a better understanding to what will be need for the research paper we will be doing.

What can I say? I'm a movie guy. Reading chapters in books will make me zone out, this you tube video was excellent. I may have got some useful information from the text but when listening and watching a girl go through easier steps(in my opinion)... psssh are you kidding? I wish all instruction was on you tube :)

well, for starters it said to use the library first...which I thought was a worthless idea at first...but then I realized that we had to rely on libraries before the age of technology...and we seemed to get along just fine...the video was simplified enough to where I really understood it. It broke it down very well.

With the help of the video and the reading I plan on finishing later on today I think my understanding of a research paper will be clearer. I must agree with azzirox once again the video talks about in in a broad way.
